LANCASTER, SC ~ Mr. Donald Donnie F. Small, Sr., age 73, died Sunday, December 17, 2017 at his home. He was born October 21, 1944, a son of the late Ralph Small and Frances Beckham Small. Mr. Small was a devoted father and grandfather. He was a hardworking self-employed owner and operator of the Village Food Mart. Mr. Small was a Mason. He enjoyed watching Gamecock football, westerns and the Andy Griffith show. He loved his dog, Littlebit. Mr. Small attended Freedom Freewill Baptist Church.

Mr. Small is survived by his sons, Brian Small and his wife, Scarlett and Bill Murphy and his wife, Suzette; eight grandchildren, T.J. Murphy and his wife, Amy, Lisa Douglas and her husband, Tyler, Donald F. Small, III Trey, Matthew Matt Small, Cory Bell and his wife, Jessi, Kasey Goodnough and her husband, Corey, Amber Gainer and her husband, Bryan and Makynna Small; and six great grandchildren.

Mr. Small was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Donald F. Small, Jr. and his brother, Michael Mike Small.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. Small will be 2:00 pm Thursday, December 21, 2017 at Freedom Freewill Baptist Church by Rev. Mitch Ingram and Rev. Mitch Gulledge. Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 8:00 pm Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at Burgess Funeral Home. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Freedom Freewill Baptist Church Childrens Fund, 1697 North Rocky River Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.
