FORT MILL, SC ~ Mr. Boyce Don Russell, age 80, passed away Sunday, April 17, 2022. He was born September 3, 1941, in Charlotte, NC, a son of the late Calvin Walter Russell and Christine Norton Russell and was the husband of Geri Morris Russell. Don was an avid golfer, who played with his "Band of Brothers" weekly at Sun City and also enjoyed playing cards and was a member of the Poker Club. He also enjoyed working in the yard with his flowers, cooking, and traveling. Don had a wonderful outgoing personality that allowed him to meet all kinds of people. He was a great friend, wonderful provider for his family, kind, generous, and very caring. Family was everything to him and he loved them all dearly.

Don is survived by his wife of 35 years, Geri Russell; two daughters, Teri Russell, and Cindi Holland and her husband, Scott; two grandchildren, Alicia Tapp and Drew Tapp; a sister-in-law, Amy Russell; and many nieces and nephews.

Don was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, Gilbert Russell, Gene Russell, and Coy Russell.

The Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Don will be 11:00 am Saturday, April 23, 2022, at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home officiated by Rev. Floyd Elmore.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am – 11:00 am, one hour prior to the service, at Burgess Funeral Home.
