LANCASTER::::::::::: Mrs. Dianne Ghent Galloway Dickson, age 61, died Saturday afternoon, August 16, 2008 at her home. She was born February 28, 1947 in Lancaster County, the daughter of the late Charlie Ghent, Jr. and Billie Hinson Ghent. She was married to Rev. R. Wayne Dickson and the late Franklin Galloway. Mrs. Dickson was a 1964 graduate of Buford High School and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Montreat College in 2006. She was a graduate of the Presbyterian Lay School of Theology and was a certified lay speaker. She was very much appreciated for her ventriloquist ministry in the local community. Mrs. Dickson was a faithful wife, mother, and grandmother and a member of New Cut Presbyterian Church where she served as organist. Mrs. Dickson is survived by her husband, Rev. R. Wayne Dickson of the home, 2 daughters, Donna G. Hartley and her husband Bo of Lancaster and Carla D. Hinson and her husband Bill of Rapid City, SD, a son, Heath C. Dickson and his wife Monica of Rock Hill, 3 brothers, Charles Ray Ghent and his wife Betty, Walter F. "Butch" Ghent and his wife Gayle, and Mark Ghent and his wife Lisa all of Lancaster, a sister, Vicki G. Faulkenberry and her husband Roger also of Lancaster, and 9 grandchildren, Garrett and Karah Hartley, Heather and Megan Hinson, Sydney, Andrew, and Riley Dickson, and Brock and Cohen Dickson.Mrs. Dickson was preceded in death by a son, Ryan C. Dickson and 2 brothers, Michael D. Ghent and Jerry B. Ghent.The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Dickson will be 3:00 pm, Tuesday afternoon, August 19, 2008 at New Cut Presbyterian Church by Rev. Mark Miller, Rev. Jerry DeVenny, and Rev. Kimberly Sowell with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Family of Mrs. Dickson will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Monday evening, August 18, 2008 at Hartley Funeral Home and suggest memorial contributions be made to New Cut Presbyterian Church Building Fund, 2617 New Cut Church Road, Lancaster, SC 29720 or to the Susan G.
