KERSHAW, SC :::::::::: Mr. Dewey F. Lucas, age 55, of 8599 Flat Creek Road, died Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at Springs Memorial Hospital. He was born August 6, 1953 in Lancaster County, the son of the late James B. Lucas and Ollie "Pam" Deese Lucas. Mr. Lucas was truck driver, a member of Victory Worship Center and served our great country in the United States Navy. Mr. Lucas was survived by his wife, Cordelia H. Lucas of Lancaster, a son, Brandon Lucas of Kershaw, 2 daughters, Melanie Reed and her husband Robbie, and Krista Plyler and her husband Ira both of Lancaster, 2 brothers, Leonard D. Lucas and his wife Tammy Looper, and Jay Bea Lucas and his wife Mitzi both of Lancaster, 2 sisters, Laraine Lucas Moore and her husband Michael of Lancaster, and Pamela Pruitt and her husband Wayne of Van Wyck, 4 grandchildren Robbie Dale Reed, Jr., Natalie Chay Reed, Kaydence "Tootie" M. Plyler and Jarad A. Plyler. The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. Lucas will be 3:00 pm Saturday, May 23, 2009 at Hartley Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Eddie Usher and Pastor Wayne Pruitt with burial to follow at Lancaster Memorial Park. The Family of Mr. Lucas will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Friday evening, May 22, 2009 at Hartley Funeral Home and suggest memorial contributions to Victory Worship Center, PO Box 943, Lancaster, SC 29721.
