LANCASTER, SC ~ Mr. Dennis "PY" Wright, age 64, passed away Thursday, May 2, 2019 at MUSC Health Lancaster.  He was born March 17, 1955, son of the late James Harvey Wright and Shirley Jean Plyler Wright.  Dennis was employed with Wachovia/Wells Fargo as a Vice President.  He served his country in the United States Navy for over 10 years.  He was outgoing, funny, friendly and he cherished his beloved dog, Henry.  Dennis was a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church.

Dennis is survived by his brother, Clay Wright; two sisters, Donna Rollings (Tony) and Julie Bowers (Eddie); three nephews, Eric Bowers (Heather), Mark Bowers (Kristen), and Trey Rollings (Erin); several great nieces and nephews; and his uncle, Marion Plyler of Charlotte, NC.

Dennis is preceded in death by his parents.

The Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Dennis will be 3:00 pm, Sunday, May 5, 2019 at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home officiated by Rev. Robin Hewitt.

The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 pm, one hour prior to the service, and other times at the home of his sister, Julie Bowers.  A private burial will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lancaster County Veterans Council, PO Box 1809, Lancaster, SC 29721.
