LANCASTER, SC – Mr. Dennis Carlin Ellis, age 69, passed away Saturday, September 30, 2023, at his home. Dennis was born July 28, 1954, the son of the late Kenneth Ellis and Evelyn Wright Ellis and was the husband of Joyce Griffin Ellis. Dennis was an avid fisherman, loved to hunt, and collect coins and rocks. He was a great fix it man who could fix anything. Dennis was lovingly known by many as a "Gentle Giant". Family was very important, and he loved them all dearly.

Dennis is survived by his wife of 42 years, Joyce Ellis; a son, Tim Ellis; two daughters, Erin Crawford (Justin) and Rhonda Brooks (fiancé, Michael White); four grandchildren, Justin Norkett, Jordan Ellis, Molly Grazier, and Eli Grazier; and his sister, Joanne Ellis.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Evelyn Ellis.

The family will have a private Celebration of Life at a later time.
