LANCASTER, SC :::::::::::Mrs. Delorice Harrelson Caskey, age 87, died Saturday, November 3, 2012 at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House in Rock Hill. She was born December 31, 1924 in Andrews, SC, the daughter of the late George Washington Harrelson and Mattie Powell Harrelson and was the wife of the late Edward Lee Caskey, Sr. Mrs. Caskey was a faithful member of Grace United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School, sang in the choir and was a member of the United Methodist Women. Mrs. Caskey was soft spoken and quiet, she was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother. She was devoted to her family and home. Mrs. Caskey is survived by 2 sons, Edward L. Caskey, Jr. and his wife Ann and David R. Caskey and his wife Esther all of Lancaster, a daughter, Patti Elliott and her husband Kevin of Rock Hill, a daughter-in-law, Marilyn Caskey of Lancaster, a brother, Clarence O. Harrelson of Denver, CO, a sister, Geneva Lucas of Lancaster, 6 grandchildren, Steven, Jonathan, Jay, Matt, Nick and Megan, 6 great grandchildren, and a special niece, Miriam Donnelly.Mrs. Caskey was preceded in death by a son, George Michael Caskey and 2 brothers, Johnny Vaughn Harrelson and William Luther Harrelson.The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Caskey will be 2:00 pm, Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at Grace United Methodist Church with burial to follow at Lancaster Memorial Park. The Family of Mrs. Caskey will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00 pm, Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at the church and the family suggests in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Hospice and Community Care, PO Box 993, Rock Hill, SC 29731 or Grace United Methodist Church, PO Box 418, Lancaster, SC 29721.
