LANCASTER, SC:::::::Mrs. Delores "Loree" Mungo Pate, age 87, died Saturday, January 16, 2016, at the Wayne T. Partick Hospice House in Rock Hill. She was born May 6, 1928 in Kershaw County, a daughter of the late Lawson Mungo and Bessie Catoe Mungo and was the wife of the late William Pate. Mrs. Pate retired from Springs Industries after 40 years as a Spinner Trainer. She enjoyed reading and putting puzzles together. Mrs. Pate loved her children, her grandchildren, her great grandchildren and her church. She was a member at Hyde Park Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years.

Mrs. Pate is survived by three sons, Terry Pate and his wife, Elaine of Lancaster, Tom Pate of Myrtle Beach, and Eric Pate of Lancaster; one daughter, Tammy Ellis and her husband, Mark of Lancaster; a brother, Ray Mungo and his wife, Joann of Lancaster; three sisters, Peggy Harmon and her husband Earl of Lancaster, Kay Dabney of Fort Mill and Earlene Joyner of Lancaster; eight grandchildren, Jason Pate (Michelle), Kyle Pate (LeAnne), Kyndul, Kodi and Kaylen Pate, Neal and Dylan Ellis and his wife Kayla and Spencer Burnett; six great grandchildren, Damyen, Jaxon, and Kaiden Pate, Serenity and Journey Ellis, and Candence Burnett.

Mrs. Pate was preceded in death by a son, Tony Mitchell Pate and a grandson, T.J. Pate.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Pate will be 2:00 pm Monday, January 18, 2016 at Hyde Park Baptist Church by Rev. Charlie Simpson. Entombment will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park Mausoleum.

The Family will receive friends one hour before the service, from 1:00 - 2:00 pm Monday, in the church Memorial Center, and other times at 619 Monticello Road, Lancaster. The family suggest memorial contributions be made to Hyde Park Baptist Church, 1898 Flat Creek Road, Lancaster, SC 29720 or the Wayne T. Patrick House, 2275 India Hook Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732.
