LANCASTER, SC ~ Mrs. Deborah Elizabeth Todd Helms, age 61, passed away Friday, December 13, 2019. She was born April 10, 1958 in Lancaster, a daughter of Larry "Gene" Todd and Joyce Helms Todd and was the wife of James Michael Helms.  Deborah was a retired LPN.  She enjoyed crafts, cooking and reading.  Deborah loved her family and enjoyed all the time she could spend with them.  She was a member of Catawba Baptist Church.

Deborah is survived by her husband of 43 years, James Helms; a son, Brandon Matthew Helms (Keisha); a daughter, Lauren Helms Danley (Derek); five grandchildren, Evan Helms, Kaelynn Helms, Cyndy Danley, Michael Danley, and Destiny Danley; her mother, Joyce Todd; her father, Gene Todd (Jimmie); two brothers, Keith Todd (fiancée, Jessica Werckman) of Tampa, FL., and Brian Todd (Stacie); two sisters, Beverly Jackson (Jimbo) and Suzanne Adams; several nieces and nephews; and a very close special friend, Marsha Broach Haselden.

The Celebration of Life Service for Deborah will be 11:00 am Monday, December 16, 2019 at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home officiated by Rev. Donald Tillman.  Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 am, one hour prior to the service, at Burgess Funeral Home, 1800 Charlotte Hwy., Lancaster, SC.  Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choosing.
