LANCASTER, SC ~ Mr. David Scott Funderburk, age 53, passed away at his home.  He was born June 29, 1966, a son of the late Don Funderburk and Patsy McNeely Funderburk and was the husband of Teresa Morris Funderburk.  Scotty enjoyed fishing, hunting, and working with his hands, building projects around the house.  He loved his farm animals and taking care of them.  Scotty loved riding his motorcycle and going to bike rallies.  He served his country in the United States National Guard.

Scotty is survived by his wife, Teresa Funderburk; a son, Thomas Scott Funderburk; a daughter, Kathryn Ann Funderburk (her boyfriend, Chase Henson); three brothers, Jeff Funderburk, Steven Funderburk, and Chris Funderburk (Lisa); a sister-in-law, Amy Funderburk; three nieces, Taylor Funderburk, Alexis Funderburk, and Tristin Morris; two nephews, Todd Funderburk and Brentley Morris; and several other nieces.

Scotty was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Michael Funderburk; and a niece.

The Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Scotty will be 3:00 pm Sunday, December 15, 2019 at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home officiated by Rev. Jason Myers.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm, one hour prior to the service, at Burgess Funeral Home, 1800 Charlotte Hwy., Lancaster, SC 29720.  In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association, SC Chapter, 901 S. Pine Street, Lower Level, Spartanburg, SC 29302.
