Lancaster- Mr. David Alan Plyler, age 58, died Friday, May 19, 2017. He was born July 31, 1958 in Lancaster, a son of the late John Douglas Plyler and Loretta Horne Plyler. David was a mechanic at heart. He loved searching for used farm equipment then repairing and reselling it. He was a huge fan of NASCAR Racing and of the Baptist faith.

David is survived by two brothers, Robert Glenn Plyler and his wife, Phyllis of Irmo, SC and Douglas Ray Plyler and his wife, Sandra of Lancaster; close kin, Horace Carnes of Lancaster; one nephew, Captain Jonathan Plyler of El Paso, TX; and two nieces, Lyndsey Plyler of Rock Hill and Melissa Plyler Worthington of Longs, SC.

David was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, John Thomas Plyler.

The Celebration of Life Graveside Funeral Service for David will be 11:00 am Monday, May 22, 2017 at Springhill Baptist Church Cemetery by Rev. Patrick Clark.
