LANCASTER, SC – Mr. David Lee Baskin, Jr., age 67, passed away Saturday, August 23, 2025. He was born on August 22, 1958, a son of Claudia Adams Baskin and the late David Lee Baskin, Sr. David was a family man and loved his family more than life itself.  He enjoyed being outdoors, mowing grass, family beach trips, and watching Clemson football.  David played football in high school and played in the North South All Star game in 1976.   He was a jack of all trades; there was nothing he could not tackle.  David was most proud of his family and the memories they've made through the years.  He was a Past Master of Fork Hill Masonic Lodge #316 and in Maintenance at ATI.  David was a member of Fork Hill Baptist Church.

David is survived by his wife of 44 years, Frances Denise Eubanks Baskin; two sons, Jason Baskin (Monica), Ryan Baskin (Kimberly); a daughter, Lauren Baskin Pierce (Brandon); a precious grandson, Knox Pierce; his mother, Claudia Adams Baskin; a brother, Tim Baskin; three sisters-in-law, Lisa Ghent (Mark), Lori Dixon (Richard), and Deann Moseley (Jeff); and five nieces and nephews, Jonathan Ghent (Amanda), Austin Ghent, Cody Dixon, Kaylee Dixon, Raelan Moseley.

David was preceded in death by his father, David Lee Baskin, Sr.; his mother-in-law and father-in -law, Frances and Harold Eubanks.

The Celebration of Life Service for David will be 2:00 pm Friday, August 29, 2025, at Fork Hill Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Justin Ford and Rev. Adam Furr. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends Thursday, August 28, 2025 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm, at Burgess Funeral Home. For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to Senior Adults at Fork Hill Baptist Church.
