LANCASTER, SC :::::::::: Mr.David Spofford James age 78 died Friday June 3, 2011 in Concord, N.C.. He was born April 26 1933 in Chesterfield County a son of the late Spofford James and Bessie Tucker James ,was the husband of the late Jackie James and was presently married to Ruby Wilson James. Mr. James retired from Springs Industries, was a member of Pleasand Dale Baptist Church, and served our great country in the United States Army. Mr. James is survived by his wife Ruby Wilson James,3 sons Anthony James, Eddie James and wife Julie, and Lynn James, all of Lancaster, 2 daughters Carolyn McDow and husband Martin , and Susan Rollings and husband Mike both of Lancaster, brothers L.C." Ducky" James, John Franklin "Jessie" James, Lenson James, Gerald James and Grady James 2 sisters Mary Katherine Morrison of Wyoming and Margaret Sheets of Kannapolis, N.C 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren and daughter-in-law Barbra JamesMr. James was preceded in death by a son Steve James 2 brothers, Pete James, and Ronnie James,2 sisters Gracie Cain and Letha Mae Tucker The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. James will be 1100 am, Monday at the Chapel of Hartley Funeral Home burial with military honors will be at Lancaster Memorial Park. The Family will receive friends from 10 to 11 am at Hartley Funeral Home
