LANCASTER, SC ~ Mr. David Elam Hamrick, age 76, passed away on Monday, May 25, 2020 at MUSC Health- Lancaster Medical Center. He was the son of the late Elam David Hamrick and Reba Hamrick Hamrick.  Mr. Hamrick loved driving and working on hot rods.  He was a Mason and a member of Second Baptist Church.

Mr. Hamrick is survived by his son, Phillip Cauthen (Vickie) of Lancaster; two grandsons, William Cauthen (Brooke) and Josh Cauthen; his significant other, Peggy Stroud; and two sisters, Carol Cooke of Charlotte, NC, and Tempa Welborn of Wilksboro, NC.

Mr. Hamrick was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Ree Taylor.

The Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Hamrick will be 2:00 pm, Friday, May 29, 2020 at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home officiated by Rev. Buddy Thomas. The family will hold a private burial at a later date.

The family will receive friends at the home of Robyn Jones.
