LANCASTER, SC ~ Mr. David Lynn Funderburk, age 68, passed away at his home. He was born December 30, 1951, a son of Joann Greene Funderburk and the late General Butler Funderburk. David served his country in the United States Navy. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and was part of a bow club in earlier years. Just a simple man who enjoyed the outdoors. David loved his family, especially his grandchildren.

David is survived by two sons, David Funderburk (Joyce) and Jason Funderburk (Tracey); a daughter, Dana Norris; four grandchildren, Chasity Funderburk, Alex Funderburk (Kayla), Dale Funderburk, and Amber Funderburk; his mother, Joann Funderburk; a brother, Chris Funderburk (Renee); two sisters, Ronda McCain (Randy), and Debra Sistare (Doug); and many nieces and nephews.

David was preceded in death by his wife of over 25 years, Betty McGuirt Funderburk; and his father, Butler Funderburk.

The Celebration of Life Graveside Service for David will be 11:00 am Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at Siler Presbyterian Church Cemetery officiated by Pastor Bruce Powell. Due to ongoing public health concerns, the family asks that those who consider attending will use all judgement and discernment and follow the recommendations of the CDC and Governor.
