LANCASTER, SC ~ Mr. David "Roundman" Henry Ethridge, Jr., age 57, passed away peacefully into the arms of Jesus, surrounded by his family in the early morning hours of Saturday, July 9, 2022, at his home. He was born September 4, 1964, in Maryville, Tennessee, a son of Jean Adams Ethridge and the late David Henry Ethridge. David was the husband of Tami Faile Ethridge. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. His love for family and friends were most important to him. David was an active and faithful member of Antioch Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He was a Past Master of the Jackson Masonic Lodge #53 and a member of the Hejaz Shriners. David was an avid outdoorsman and shared his love for the outdoors with his son, Joseph, and his grandson, Spencer. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially competitive bass tournaments where he created many lasting friendships. David's wit and humor resonated with everyone he met. He was an electrician who was previously employed with General Tire for over 20 years and later began working at ATI. David was selfless and thankful until the end as he fought a courageous battle with cancer.
David is survived by his wife, and high school sweetheart of 41 years, Tami Ethridge. David and Tami were blessed with one son, Joseph Calvin Ethridge (Christy) and a grandson, Spencer Landon Ethridge. David is also survived by his mother, Jean Ethridge, and a sister, Davidta "DeeDee" Blair (David) of Tennessee.
David was preceded in death by his father figure, Calvin McCowan, who introduced his love of God and the outdoors to David at an early age.
