IN LOVING MEMORY OF
David
Dickson
July 2, 1964 – December 9, 2025
LANCASTER, SC – Mr. David Paul Dickson, 61, entered into the presence of his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, December 9, 2025. Born July 2, 1964, he was the beloved son of Glenna and the late Paul Dickson and the devoted husband of Sharon Dickson.
David grew up in upstate New York before making Lancaster, South Carolina, his cherished home for most of his life. A dedicated and active member of his church, David was known for his unwavering faith, his gentle spirit, and his gift for bringing Jesus into every conversation. He lived each day with a heart anchored in Christ, and his faith continues to bring comfort and hope to all who love him. David held a deep love for Israel, the place where he and Sharon first met. He was a man of many interests and talents—a true hobbyist at heart. He enjoyed crafting jewelry, soaps, and perfumes, lovingly caring for his chickens, and cooking for family and friends. In recent years, he found great joy in flying his drone, embracing the beauty of God's creation from the skies above. Above all, David treasured time spent with his family, his friends, and his two beloved dogs, Freckles and Mishka. His warm presence, creativity, and faith-filled heart touched countless lives and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. David's family finds peace in knowing he is now in the eternal care of his Savior—whole, restored, and surrounded by perfect love.
David is survived by his wife of 38 years, Sharon Dickson; his three children, Michelle Dickson, Christian Dickson (Victoria), and Sean Dickson; his grandson, Zander Dickson; his mother, Glenna Dickson; his sisters, Suzanne Panzica (Ray), and Robyn Hough (Joshua); Norwegian brother, Svein Martin Luth; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Dickson.
The Celebration of Life Memorial Service for David will be at 2:00 pm Saturday, December 20, 2025, at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home officiated by Rev. Roy Miles. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm, one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow on May 16, 2026, at the family burial site in Brooktondale, New York.
In lieu of flowers, for those who wish, memorials may be made to Gospel for Asia at https://www.gfa.org/ or to a church of your choice.
