LANCASTER, SC ~ David Scott Cauthen, age 58, passed away Sunday, April 2, 2023. He was born September 19, 1964, a son of the late Jerry Rosco Cauthen and Brenda Williams Cauthen.  David retired from Resolute/Bowater.  He loved spending time with his daughters, working in the yard, gardening, eating out, and cooking.  David was a handyman and could fix nearly anything.   He was a member of Camp Creek Baptist Church where he was very active and loved going.

David is survived by two daughters, Crystal Cauthen Deese (Daniel), and Amber Sinclair Cauthen (Tripp Wright); a brother, Darrell Cauthen; his father-in-law, Fred Sinclair; his brother-in-law, Randy Watts; nieces and nephews, Trevor Cauthen, Brooke Cauthen, Shauna Gordon, Amy Murphy, and Rob Watts; and his very best friend, Gizmo, his dog.

David was preceded in death by his wife of 30 years, Kimberly Sinclair Cauthen; his parents; his mother-in-law, Evelyn Sinclair; and his sister-in-law, Mindy Watts.

The Celebration of Life Service for David will be 6:00 pm Monday, April 10, 2023, at Camp Creek Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Randy Mellichamp. Burial will follow in the church cemetery at a later date.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-6:00 pm, one hour prior to the service, in the fellowship hall and other times at his daughter, Amber's, home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Camp Creek Baptist Church, Building Fund, 998 Potter Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.
