LANCASTER, SC - Mr. David Eugene McManus, age 77, died Sunday, April 30, 2017. He was born July 10, 1939 in Lancaster County, a son of the late William Baxter McManus and Ada Gertrude Broome McManus. He worked in textiles for J. P. Stevens Company and served our country in the United States Army.

Mr. McManus is survived by two nephews, James B. McManus of Lancaster and Gerald Rhodus of Monroe, NC.

Mr. McManus was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, James Harold McManus and seven sisters, Mable Bratcher, Willie Mae Lambert, Loma Craig, Juanita Rhodus, Helen Smith, Martha Lee McManus and Gladys Humphries.

The Celebration of Life Graveside Funeral Service for Mr. McManus will be 11:00 am Friday, May 5, 2017 at Lancaster Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends following the service and suggest memorial contributions be made to Catawba Community Mental Health Center, 448 Lakeshore Parkway, Suite 205, Rock Hill, SC 29730.
