LANCASTER, SC – Mr. David Ralph Belk, age 42, passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2025. He was born December 5, 1982, a son of Dianne Nance Belk and the late Ronald Payne Belk and was the husband of Melissa Mathis Belk. David proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was employed with ATI in Monroe, NC as a Sonic Inspector II. He loved spending time with his family and their pugs. David enjoyed relaxing, going to the beach, bonfires, shooting fireworks, being outdoors, watching old tv shows, playing video games with his sons, Fantasy Football, and watching Gamecock football. He was a member of Second Baptist Church.

David is survived by his wife of 18 years, Melissa Belk; his children, Jacob Belk, Joshua Belk, and Hannah Grace Belk; mother, Dianne Belk; sisters, Alison Gallagher (Jim), Andrea Baker (Brandon), and Adrienne Plyler (Travis); mother-in-law, Janice M. Mathis; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Belk; brother, Richard Belk; and father-in-law, Charles E. Mathis.

The Celebration of Life Service for David will be 3:00 pm Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home officiated by Pastor Don Thompson. Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.
