Mr. David Charles Allen, age 82, passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at Piedmont Medical Center.  He was born August 8, 1936 in Warren, Ohio, a son of the late Charles Allen and Dorothy Berry Allen and was the husband of Beverly Kulow Allen. Mr. Allen loved fishing, camping and the mountains.  He was a member at Camp Creek Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and sang in the choir.

Mr. Allen is survived by his wife of 62 years, Beverly Allen; two sons, David Allen of Richmond, VA, and Mark Allen and his wife, Peggy of Princeton, WV; a daughter, Linda Wiseman and her husband, Timothy of Lancaster; a daughter-in-law, Polly Becker of Wisconsin; ten grandchildren, Gabrielle Moore, Nick Allen, Kathleen Goodman, Brandon Smith, Hollie Boggs, Mark McGuirl, Travis Wiseman, Tara Clontz, Alex Wiseman, Andrea Hudacek; many great grandchildren; a sister, Sue Claassen and her husband, Leo of Kansas, and his beloved dog and best friend, Haley.

Mr. Allen was preceded in death by son, James Alford Allen; and a granddaughter, Daniella Allen.

The Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Mr. Allen will be 3:00 pm Sunday, March 17, 2019 at Camp Creek Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Randy Mellichamp. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm –3:00 pm, one hour prior to the service, in the Recreation Building and suggest memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 1901 Brunswick Ave. #100, Charlotte, NC 28207.
