HEATH SPRINGS, SC Mr. David Morris Adams, age 70, passed away Friday, December 11, 2009 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC. He was born May 15, 1939 in Heath Springs, SC. He was the son of the late Chalmers Adams and Eva Mae Barrett Adams and was the husband of Linda Hallman Adams. He was a loving and cherished husband, father and grandfather who loved the outdoors including hunting, fishing, and farming. His greatest love was spending time with his grandchildren. Mr. Adams retired from DuPont and was a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church. Mr. Adams is survived by his wife of 50 years, Linda Rose Hallman Adams, three sons, David Steven Adams and his fianc Michelle Lyons of Columbia, SC; Joseph Morris Adams and his wife Beverly of Heath Springs; Jeffrey Daniel Adams and his wife Kim of Heath Springs, a daughter, Jennifer Dawn Adams Funderburk and her husband Bobby of Heath Springs, ten grandchildren, Caleb and Bethany Adams; Allison Moore and her husband Tate; Lauren, Bradon and Erin Adams; Lindsay and Carley Adams, Avery and Tyson Funderburk; one great-granddaughter, Devan Moore; and two brothers, Robert Leroy Adams of Virginia and Edward Lee Adams of Heath Springs.Mr. Adams was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Elizabeth Hance and Ruby Doris Phillips.The Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Mr. Adams will be 2:00 pm, Sunday, December 13, 2009 at St. Luke United Methodist Church with the Rev. Kyle Randle officiating. The Family will receive friends following the service. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Luke United Methodist Church Building Fund, 128 Providence Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.The Family will be at the home of his son and daughter in law, Jeff and Kim Adams, 2507 South Potter Road, Lancaster.
