LANCASTER Mrs. Darlene Catoe Blanton, age 67, died Sunday, March 26, 2017 at her home. She was born March 27, 1949 in Lancaster, a daughter of the late James David Catoe and Dorothy Gardner Catoe and was the wife of the late Ronald Blanton. Mrs. Blanton was an administrative assistant and a member of Riverview Presbyterian Church in Fort Mill. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was devoted to her grandchildren.

Mrs. Blanton is survived by two daughters, Nikki Sanders and her husband, Jeff of Lancaster and Kimberly Young and her husband, Billy of Myrtle Beach and six grandchildren, Jory Young, Kayla Young, Trenton Young, Hailey Sanders, Ashtyn Sanders and Kathryn Blanton.

Mrs. Blanton was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, James Jay Blanton, and a sister, Sandra Blackwelder.

The Celebration of Life Graveside Funeral Service for Mrs. Blanton will be 3:00 pm Thursday, March 30, 2017 at Lancaster Memorial Park by Rev. Patricia McCain.

The family will receive friends Thursday, from 1:30 2:30 pm, at Burgess Funeral Home and suggest memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimers Association of SC, 4124 Clemson Blvd., Suite L, Anderson, SC 29621.
