LANCASTER, SC :::::::: Mr. Danny R. Stevens, age 53, died Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at Piedmont Medical Center. He was born May 1, 1958 in Camden, the son of the late Link Stevens and Tillie Branham Stevens. Mr. Stevens was retired and enjoyed the outdoors, was an avid fisherman and a NASCAR fan. Mr. Stevens is survived by his fianc, Becky Carnes of the home, a son, Garner Stevens of Albemarle, NC, a step-son, PFC Jody Carnes of Fort Carson, Colorado, a brother, Ira "Buck" Stevens and his wife Daphine, 3 sisters, Ivy McAteer and her husband Luther, Ruby Hunter and her husband Glenn, and Kimberly Todd and her husband Howard all of Lancaster. The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. Stevens will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, March 24, 2012 at The Chapel of Hartley Funeral Home by Rev. Mitch Ingram. Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park. The Family of Mr. Stevens will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00 pm Saturday, March 24, 2012 at the funeral home and the family suggests memorials to Humane Society of Lancaster, PO Box 1825, Lancaster, SC 29721.
