ROCK HILL, SC – Daniel "Danny" DuWayne Lewis, age 64, passed away Friday June 28, 2024 at Piedmont Medical Center. He was born March 15, 1960, in Rock Hill, SC, son of the late Daniel Timothy Lewis, Jr. and the late Carol Griffin Nicholson.

Danny battled a multitude of health issues for many years, but he never let it dim his spirit or his love for his family.  He was known for his sharp wit and humor despite his health complications. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandson, Levi, who he adored.   Danny had a beautiful voice and loved to sing. Danny enjoyed being part of the Church choir and when younger, he would often sing duets with his mom.

Danny is survived by his sister, Deborah Turney; a daughter, Lindsey Lewis; a son, Troy Lewis (Breanna); a grandson, Levi Lewis; three nephews, Matthew Turney, Drew Turney, and Preston Darby; and many friends and extended family at Pruitt Health.

Danny was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Charles Lewis.

The family would like to thank the staff at Pruitt Health in Rock Hill, SC for the care they provided Danny over the past years.

The family will have a private burial at Lancaster Memorial Park.
