LANCASTER, SC ~ Mrs. Cynthia "Cyndi" Edwards Cook, age 71, passed away Monday, January 1, 2024. She was born December 19, 1952, daughter of the late William P. Edwards and Ruth Welborn Edwards and was the wife of Randy Earl Cook. Mrs. Cook loved being outdoors riding her horses, gardening, working in her flowers, riding a tractor, showing her horses, and just loving animals. She also enjoyed refinishing furniture and crocheting. Family was most important to her, and she loved them all dearly especially her children and grandchildren. Sunday dinners were very special as she loved having her family over and cooking for them. Mrs. Cook was of the Christian faith.

Mrs. Cook is survived by her husband of 49 years, Randy Cook; two sons, John Cook (Amber) and Brad Cook; daughter, Loree Cook Emanuel (fiancé, Brandy Baker); grandchildren, Jon Michael Montgomery, Elizabeth Dwyer (Tom), Kaycee Cook, Brittany Cook, and Bella Kiffmeyer; five brothers, Eddy Byerly (Linda), Van Edwards (Jan), Bill Edwards (Desiree), Danny Edwards (Gail), and Randy Edwards (Teresa); many nieces and nephews; and four close sisters-in-law, Pam Boling, Wanda Hayes, Brenda Hyatt, and Angie Cook.

Mrs. Cook is preceded in death by a grandchild, Charles Matthew Schumpert; and her parents.

The Celebration of Life Service for Mrs. Cook will be 3:00 pm Thursday, January 4, 2024, at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home officiated by Rev. Ronnie Boling. The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 pm, one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
