MANCHESTER, TN ~ Mr. Curtis Randolph Whitaker, age 78, passed away Sunday, February 18, 2018. He was born in Lancaster, a son of the late Curtis Lee Whitaker and Etta Vincent Whitaker and was the husband of Carol Garner Whitaker. Mr. Whitaker retired after 27 years with the Federal Government as Chief Personnel Director and he served our country for 22 years in the United States Air Force as a Personnel Systems Manager. He comes from a long line military family. Mr. Whitaker enjoyed fishing, golfing, NASCAR racing, bowling and traveling. He was a loving husband and father, who took excellent care of his family.

Mr. Whitaker is survived by his wife of 55 years, Carol Whitaker; his son, Fred; a brother, Donnie Whitaker and his wife, Joy; a sister-in-law, Brenda Whitaker; and many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Whitaker was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Ralph Whitaker; and a sister, Elizabeth Lib Kennington.

The Celebration of Life Graveside Service for Mr. Whitaker will be 11:00 am Monday, February 26, 2018 at Lancaster Memorial Park by Rev. James Garner.

The family will meet with friends following the graveside service.
