LANCASTER, SC ~Mr. Corey James Mathis, age 36, passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2018. He was born November 22, 1981 in Lancaster, a son of James Kirk Jimmy Mathis and Janet Mills Mathis. Corey worked at Punkys Place. He enjoyed fishing, cooking, singing and was a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church.
Corey is survived by his parents, Jimmy and Janet Mathis of Lancaster; a brother, Trent William Mathis of Lexington; a nephew, T. J. Mathis; Coreys girlfriend, Kellie Sims and her daughter, Nikki Robel of Lancaster.
Corey was preceded in death by his grandparents; William and Ruth Mills.
The Celebration of Life Service for Corey will be 3:00 pm Friday, July 27, 2018 at Oak Hill Baptist Church by Rev. Cliff Henson.
The family will receive friends following the service at the home of Dulan Mills, 6487 Oak Hill Church Road, Lancaster and other times at the home of his parents, Jimmy and Janet Mathis.
