LANCASTER, SC . Mrs. Cora Jane Caston Wallace, age 94, died Monday, April 26, 2010 at Springs Memorial Hospital. She was born July 11, 1915 in Lancaster County, the daughter of the late William Thurlow Caston and Almetta Robinson Caston and was the wife of the late Monroe Victor Wallace. Mrs. Wallace retired from Springs Industries and was a lifelong member of Calvary Baptist Church having served as a Senior Adult President and Church Treasurer. Mrs. Wallace is survived by 2 sons, Edward Victor "Eddie" Wallace and his wife Elizabeth of Lancaster, and Noel Lynn Wallace of Columbia, SC, 2 daughters, Jane W. Ballentine and her husband Jim and Suzanne W. Brown and her husband Barry both of Lancaster, 7 grandchildren; Scott Wallace, Todd Wallace, Kelli Wallace, Jana B. Bolton, Jace Ballentine, Allison B. Johnson, and Holly B. Phillips, and great grandchildren, Brandon Wallace, Jensen, Landon, and Tanner Wallace, and Micaiah, Kade, and Delainy Bolton.Mrs. Wallace was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Roscoe Caston and W.T. Caston, and 4 sisters, Azilee McCarter, Leila Evans, Minnie Sue Robinson, and Molivia Knight. The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Wallace will be 11:00 am Wednesday morning, April 28, 2010 at Calvary Baptist Church by Pastor Steve Bateman and Dr. Harold Owens with burial to follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.The Family of Mrs. Wallace will receive friends from 10:00 - 11:00 am in the church fellowship hall and in lieu of flowers suggest memorial contributions to Calvary Baptist Church, PO Box 1116, Lancaster, SC 29721.
