LANCASTER, SC ~ Twyla Carolyn "Connie" Catlett, born April 21, 1934, to William Guy and Iccie Jane Hinkle Radcliff Rhodes. Connie is preceded in death by both parents and her husband of 50 years, Marvin Leon "Bub" Catlett.

Connie received Christ November 16, 1952, at Berkley Station Church (now Independent Bible Church) and Bub shortly afterward. She served as teacher in a number of classes until God called them into full time missions.

Bub and Connie had a heart to reach others for Christ. Joining Wycliffe Bible Translators in 1983, they spent 16 years in Suriname, South America. They needed to return to the US in 1999, when Bub developed cancer. They continued serving at JAARS at Waxhaw, NC until God took Bub home in 2002. Connie continued serving until 2019, when she retired.

Connie and Bub had four sons, Stephen T. Catlett (Nancy), James M. Catlett (Debbie) both of Martinsburg, WV, Samuel D. Catlett of South Carolina, and Daniel L. Catlett of North Carolina.

Connie had four brothers, Edwin Dale Radcliff, William Hayward Radcliff, Oleon Jennings Radcliff, and Waymond Gerald Radcliff; and two sisters, Anna Grace DeHaven and Glenna Jean VanMeter, all deceased.

A private burial will be held in West Virginia.  The family will have a memorial service at a later date in West Virginia.
