INDIAN LAND, SC :::::::: Mr. Clyde Marion Williams, age 73, died of lung cancer December 7, 2013 at Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House in Rock Hill SC. He was born March 8, 1940 to Leroy and Edna Williams, both deceased. Mr. Williams retired from Hoecht Celanese after 35 years and served our great country in the United States Army during Vietnam Era. Affectionately known as "Grandpa" , he loved golf, fishing, and his part-time work at the golf course.

Clyde loved his family very much and is survived by his wife Sally; daughter Sandra Caruso and her three children Jessica, Adam, Alec of Lancaster; his son, Anthony Williams of Lancaster; two step-daughters Kim Railla of Frankfurt, Germany; and Lillian Hare and her two children, Benjamin and Olivia all of Matthews, his two brothers, Lathan Williams and Evylee Williams both of Lancaster; a sister, June Nichols of Rock Hill; and many nieces and nephews. Clyde was preceded in death by two brothers, Marquette Williams and Bruce Williams; a nephew, Tommy Nichols; and a step-son, Mark Nordman.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. Williams will be 2:00 pm, Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.

The Family of Mr. Williams will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00 pm Wednesday at Burgess Funeral Home and in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice & Community Care, Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House, PO Box 993, Rock Hill, SC 29731 Lancaster, SC 29720.
