LANCASTER, SC –Mr. Clyde Davis Jenkins, age 80, passed away Monday, October 2nd, 2023 at his home surrounded by the love of his life, all of his girls and grandchildren. He was born, May 9 1943, in Union, SC, son of the late Carl Jenkins and Helen Adams Jenkins. Clyde attended Lancaster High School and shortly thereafter enlisted in the United States Navy. He proudly served his country for twelve years. After his years in service, he began working as a manufacturing supply manager until his retirement. When not working, Clyde enjoyed playing golf, watching westerns and spending time with his family. He was a member of Hopewell United Methodist Church and a lifetime member of the Camp Creek Masonic Lodge.

Clyde is survived by his wife of 58 years, Nancy Ormand Jenkins; his daughters Julie Boatright, Becky Catoe (Chris), Crissy Sellers (Keith), Missy Belk (David); 14 grandchildren, Jay Cooper (Taylor), Lyndsay Gainer, Kayla Lane (Corey), Bailey Lane, Mallory Lane, Remington Catoe, Alyssa Catoe, Kierstyn Catoe, Nai'a Cooper (Cody), Natalie Howell Miles (Kevin), Payton Howell (Andrew), Michael Howell (Victoria), Tanner Belk (Kayley), and Aidan Belk; 6 great grandchildren, Reed Rockholt, Tatum Cooper, Lawson Miles, Cohen Ellis, Mila Raye Miles, and Kameron Catoe; a brother Mike Jenkins (Diane) and four sisters: Carol Ledbetter, Dianne Watts, Marsha Hunter (Anthony) and Anita McManus (Kenny), as well as 2 special nephews Chuck Ledbetter and Phillip Watts.

Clyde was preceded in death by his parents, twin boys Carey and Jarey Jenkins, a brother Leland Jenkins and his best friends Bobby Joe and Mildred Bradburn.

The Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00pm Thursday, October 5, 2023 at Hopewell United Methodist Church by the Rev. Keith Sellers, Mike Jenkins and Jay Cooper. The family will receive friends at a reception following the service in the Family Life Center.

In lieu of flowers, for those who wish, memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital and Research, Hopewell UMC or Hospice of Lancaster.
