LANCASTER, SC:::::::::: Mr. Clyde David Henry, age 70, died Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at the Lowman Home in Irmo, SC. He was born March 29, 1940 in Lancaster, the son of the late Carl Henry and Erma Lee Blackmon Henry. Mr. Henry was first married to the late Sue Melton Henry and then to the late Janice Kerr Henry. He was a graduate of Furman University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree and retired from Springs Industries as Director of Product Development with 35 years of service. He was a member of First Baptist Church and served our great country in the United States Army. Mr. Henry is survived by two daughters, Jan Henry Burgess and her husband Jason of Chapin, SC and Pam Henry Davis and her husband Neal of Newnan, GA, a sister, Faye Farmer of Lancaster and two grandchildren, Blair Burgess and Sara Anne Davis.The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. Henry will be 6:30 pm, Thursday evening, June 24, 2010 at The Chapel of Hartley Funeral Home by Rev. Vickie Powell. The family of Mr. Henry will receive friends immediately following the service and suggest memorial contributions be made to Shriner's Hospital for Children-Greenville, 950 West Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605.
