LANCASTER, SC:::::::::::: Mr. Clyde Miller Catoe, 82, died Thursday, December 1, 2016 at Springs Memorial Hospital. He was born April 9, 1934 in Lancaster County, the son of the late Seborn Catoe and Eunice Inez Knight Catoe Bigham and the husband of Margaret Sue Lee Bowers Catoe. Mr. Catoe retired as a Loom Fixer/Instructor in the Oxford Department of Springs Industries for 44 years. He was a devoted and beloved brother, husband, father and grandfather. He loved to hunt, fish, travel and go to car races. He drove the bus for the Senior Adult outings. He was a long time active member of Zion United Methodist Church. Mr. Catoe took much pride in being a family man to his beloved wife, Sue, of 58 years, his daughters, Rhonda Waters and her husband, Lee and C. Renee Woodward and her husband, Robert; three grandsons, Warren Lee Woodward, Robert Ethan Woodward and Mychal Evan Waters and his wife, Cam; one granddaughter, Allyssa Janel Waters; a brother, Cecil Edward Catoe and his wife, Mary; two sisters, Elizabeth Inez Hunter and her husband, Mickey and Beatrice BB Carter and her husband, Charles.

Mr. Catoe was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Eugene Catoe, a sister, Mary Jane Sarah Webster.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. Catoe will be 2:00 pm Monday, December 5, 2016 at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home, by Rev Mike Burgess and Rev. Ashley Brunson with burial to follow at Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 2:00 pm Monday, December 5, 2016 at Burgess Funeral Home and other times at his home and suggest memorial contributions be made to Zion United Methodist Church Building Fund, 1665 Zion Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.
