LANCASTER, SC :::::::: Mr. Clyde Wallace Blackwell, age 92, died Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at White Oak Manor. He was born June 24, 1920 in Jefferson, SC, the son of the late William Beaufort Blackwell and Faye McNeely Blackwell. Mr. Blackwell retired from Springs Industries and was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.

Mr. Blackwell is survived by 2 sons, Larry Blackwell and his wife Jan of Lancaster, and Mark Blackwell and his wife Clarice of Alpharetta, GA, a daughter, Janice Duncan and her husband Chris of Lancaster, 5 sisters, Edith Threatt, Ottie Stogner and Bronna Sue Ackerman all of Lancaster, Bennie Blume of Charlotte, and Kerried Miller of Rochester, NH, and 3 grandchildren, Melanie Mancuso and her husband Piere, Heather Blackwell and Lauren Blackwell and 3 great grandchildren, Matthew, Hannah and Lukas Mancuso.

Mr. Blackwell was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Nay Blackwell and Harold Blackwell, a sister, Myrtis Laney, and a grandchild, Matt Blackwell.

The Celebration of Life Graveside Funeral Service for Mr. Blackwell will be 4:00 pm Friday, February 15, 2013 at Lancaster Memorial Park Mausoleum by Rev. Tim Anderson.

The Family of Mr. Blackwell will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm, Thursday, February 14, 2013 at Hartley Burgess Funeral Home and suggest memorials to The Matt Blackwell Foundation, PO Box 188, Lancaster, SC 29721.
