Mr. Claude Alex Vincent, age 87, passed away on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at home surrounded by the love of his life, Jessie, sons, Joey Huntley and Scott Vincent, Zechariah Vincent and Jackson Armstrong daughter, Angela Vincent, his granddaughters, Gabby Huntley, Kara Watford, Kayla Lewis and their children.

He was born on October 8, 1938, in Lancaster, SC, a son of the late Arthur Monroe Vincent and the late Mildred P. Vincent and was the loving husband of Mrs. Jessie Virginia Eddins Vincent.

Claude was a faithful member of Forestbrook Baptist Church and found great joy in his faith, family, and the simple things he loved. He and Jessie opened their hearts and home as foster parents through Lancaster County Social Services, and when they adopted Zechariah, he became a cherished part of the family they loved wholeheartedly.

He enjoyed his years playing football in high school and remained an avid sports fan, especially enjoying watching football and baseball. Claude was a self-employed plumber by trade and took pride in his work. In his free time, he enjoyed spending time at the Moose Lodge and being outdoors hunting. Above all, Claude will be remembered for the love he gave so freely to his family and the many lives he touched along the way.

Claude is survived by his wife, Jessie; their six sons, Alex Vincent (Joni), Scott Vincent, Stacy Vincent (Nicole), Joey Huntley, Mark Huntley, Zechariah Vincent and Jackson Armstrong; a daughter, Angela Vincent; numerous adored grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a brother, Wayne Vincent; and his two sisters, Marcine Sims and Clara Lewis (Pete).

He is preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela, and her husband, Scott; his parents, Arthur and Mildred; and a brother, Samuel Vincent.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm, the night before, on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at Burgess Funeral Home, Lancaster, SC.

The Celebration of Life Graveside Service for Mr. Claude will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, September 27, 2026, at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Heath Springs, SC.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to Burgess Funeral Home, C/O Claude Vincent, P.O. Box 1743, Lancaster, SC 29721, to assist with funeral expenses.
