LANCASTER, SC::::::::: Mr. Claude "Butch" Flowers, Jr., age 59, of 2204 Lynwood Drive, died Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill. He was born January 30, 1951 in Hartsville, the son of the late Claude Albert Flowers, Sr. and Veronia Crowley Flowers and was the husband of Mildred "Tuti" Bryson Flowers. Mr. Flowers retired from Sunbeam Bakeries and was of the Baptist Faith. Mr. Flowers is survived by his wife, Mildred "Tuti" Bryson Flowers of the home, 3 sons, Jamie Flowers and his wife Beth of Society Hill, Derrick Flowers of Charlotte and Tyler Flowers of the home, 2 daughters, April Sowell and her husband Will of Kershaw and Allison Miles of Lancaster, a brother, Jeffery Flowers and wife Tammy of Maiden, NC, 4 sisters, Wanda Kimbrell and husband Archie of Hartsville, Chandra Pate and husband Eddie of Hartsville, Regina Byrd and husband Claude of Florence, and Laurie Haislip and husband Dustin of Columbia, and 6 grandchildren, Claudia and Avah Flowers, Jonathan and Haley Thurmond, Logan and Mason Sowell. Mr. Flowers was preceded by a sister, Tina F. Callahan. The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. Flowers will be 2:00 pm Sunday, January 2, 2011 at The Chapel of Hartley Funeral Home by Rev. Chad Vick. Entombment will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park Mausoleum. The Family of Mr. Flowers will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 Saturday, January1, 2011 at Hartley Funeral Home and the family suggests memorials be sent to Freeworship, 915 Chesterfield Hwy., Cheraw, SC 29520.
