LANCASTER, SC::::::::: Mr. Clarence A. "Buddy" Hunter, Jr., age 82, of 1607 Springdale Road, went to be with the Lord Wednesday September 29, 2010 at Springs Memorial Hospital. He was born February 13, 1928 in Lancaster County, the son of the late Clarence A. Hunter, Sr. and Maude Hunter Hunter. Mr. Hunter retired from The Foundry, was of the Baptist faith and served our great country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Mr. Hunter is survived by a sister, Fannie Louise Prosser of Albany, GA, a sister-in-law, Faydell Hunter of Lancaster and several nieces and nephews.Mr. Hunter was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Billy Gene Hunter and Jack Hunter and a sister, Mary Horton. The Celebration of Life Graveside Service for Mr. Hunter will be 1:00 pm, Friday, October 1, 2010 at Lancaster Memorial Park by Rev. Scott Robinson with burial to follow. The Family of Mr. Hunter will receive friends immediately following the graveside service and suggest memorial contributions be made to Lancaster County Relay for Life, American Cancer Society, 128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia, SC 29210.
