LANCASTER, SC ~ Mrs. Christine Lillian Lambert Timmons, age 89, passed away December 1, 2025 at her home. She was born January 27, 1936 in Lancaster, South Carolina, a daughter of the late Willie Lambert and the late Willie Mae McManus Lambert and was the loving wife of the late Marvin Timmons.
Mrs. Timmons loved her family fiercely, especially her grandchildren, who were the absolute light of her life. She had a true Southern spirit, happiest with a warm bowl of grits or a plate of classic Southern comfort food.
She never missed a chance to catch up on the news, faithfully tuning in to Fox News each day. Her passion for politics wasn't just a hobby; it led her to work alongside major political leaders, something she took great pride in.
Mrs. Timmons will be remembered for her love, her voice, her loyalty, her big personality, and the way she stayed connected to those around her. She loved to talk, always ready with a story, a laugh, or a long conversation.
She was a faithful member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Lancaster for over 60 years.
Mrs. Timmons is survived by her daughter, Cindy Rodgers, and her husband, Quinton; her two grandchildren, Kristen Boykin, Devin Rodgers, and his wife, Taylor; three great-grandchildren, Gunner Rollin Deas, and his fiancé Kailyn White, Kanaan Lambert Morgan; and Trace Elliot Rodgers; two sisters, Evelyn Barnes, and Mary Frances Black; her lifelong friend, Tally Morton, and his children whom she loved like her own, Stan Morton, and Angela Morton.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years; Marvin Timmons; her parents, Willie and Willie Mae Lambert; her two brothers, Jerry Lambert, and Buddy Lambert; and her lifelong friend, Jean Morton.
The Celebration of Life Service for Mrs. Timmons will be held privately at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, for those who wish, memorials may be made to Hospice of Lancaster and the Piedmont, 901 West Meeting Street, Suite 104, Lancaster, SC 29720.
