LANCASTER, SC:::::::::::Mrs. Christine Hunter Love, age 90, died Friday, February 26 , 2016 at her home. She was born March 1, 1925 in Chesterfield County, a daughter of the late Marion S. Hunter and Hettie Mahaffey Hunter and was the wife of the late Donald Evans Love. Mrs. Love retired from Springs Industries and Jos Nursery and was a member of Fork Hill Baptist Church.

Mrs. Love is survived by three daughters, Teresa L. Couch (Randall), Kathy L. Blackmon (Carson), and Gail L. Gillis (Carlton) all of Lancaster; four grandchildren, Dana Garris (David), Brian Blackmon (Laurie), Brad Blackmon (Charlene), and Chrissy Lou Best and her fianc, Lowen; six great grandchildren, Dillon Garris, Aubrie Blackmon, Talen Blackmon, Zaine Blackmon, Karsyn Blackmon and Kaley Taylor; a brother, Sonny Buddy Hunter (Joanne); and three sisters, Justine Hunter, Kathleen Adams and Marcene Hall (Vonnie Lee) all of Lancaster.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Love will be 11:00 am, Monday, February 29, 2016 at Fork Hill Baptist Church by Rev. Paul Smith and Rev. Kenny Pitmon with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 6:00 pm Sunday, February 28, 2016 at Burgess Funeral Home and suggest memorial contributions be made to Home Care and Hospice of Lancaster, 901 West Meeting Street, Suite 201, Lancaster, SC 29720 or to Fork Hill Baptist Church, 1125 Fork Hill Road, Heath Springs, SC 29058.
