LANCASTER, SC – Mr. Christopher "Chris" Johnathan Sledge, age 41, passed away Sunday, November 2, 2025. He was born October 18, 1984, in Yokota, Japan, the son of Darryl Ray Sledge and Mikyong Kim. He was the loving husband of Elizabeth "Marie" Fitzgerald Sledge.

Chris was a 2002 graduate of Lancaster High School who has always had a deep affection for his entire family and all of his cats. His pastimes included playing pool and working on sports cars. An enthusiastic cook, he particularly enjoyed preparing Korean dishes.

He is survived by his wife of almost 20 years, Marie Sledge; his children, Corbin and Alena Sledge; his parents, Darryl Sledge and Mikyong Kim; and his grandmother, Sadie Sledge.

Chris was preceded in death by his grandfather, Prentis Sledge.

The Celebration of Life Service for Chris will be held at 1:00 pm, Sunday, November 9, 2025, at Pleasant Dale Baptist Church, officiated by Dr. Jessie Adams.

The family will receive friends following the service, Sunday, November 9, 2025, in the fellowship hall at Pleasant Dale Baptist Church.
