In Loving Memory of Cheryl Ann Johnson
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Cheryl, who left this world surrounded by the love she gave so freely throughout her life.
She was a devoted mother to her four children, two sons and two daughters, who were the pride and joy of her life. Her love extended far beyond her children to her many grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in her heart. She cherished every moment spent with her family and found her greatest happiness in watching them grow and thrive.
Cheryl was a unique soul, a different kind of person in the very best way. She never needed extravagant things to make her happy. She found beauty in life’s simple pleasures—a quiet day, a meaningful conversation, time with her loved ones, and the unconditional companionship of her two beloved dogs, Sadie and Kilo, whom she adored.
She had a kind heart, a strong spirit, and a way of touching the lives of those around her that will never be forgotten. Her laughter, wisdom, and love will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
Though our hearts are broken by her passing, we find comfort in the memories she leaves behind and the love she shared so generously. Her legacy lives on through her children, grandchildren, family, friends, and all those fortunate enough to have known her.
She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
Cheryl is survived by her husband, Jamie Johnson; three children, Michael “Mikey” Charles Johnson, Shana Johnson, and Candice Johnson (Felicia Duncan); her grandchildren, Jayda Guzman, Maria Gomez, Pedro Maza, Destiney Maza, Nova Juarez, Major Bufford, Carter Johnson, Jaydence Johnson, Ashlyn Johnson, Jaden Whitaker, and Airianna Hudson; her great-grandson, Rico Curry; her mother, Faye Schaeffer; her sister, Angie Owens (David Broadway); her three brothers, James “Jamie” Crawford Whitaker, Scott “Pete” Schaeffer Jr. (Chassity), and Timmy Scott.
She was preceded in death by her son, Brandon Scott Johnson; her father, Charles Whitaker; her bonus father who raised her, Scott Schaeffer Sr.; and her brother, Kenny Scott.
