LANCASTER, SC ~ Mr. Charles "Charly" Archie Walton, age 68, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Saturday, January 15, 2022, at Novant Health Matthews.  He was born March 11, 1953, in Wilmington, NC, a son of the late Penny Guthrie and was the husband of Laura Martin Walton. Charly was a carpenter by trade but was an artist with woodworking.  He enjoyed fishing, reading, and football.  Family was most important, and he loved being with them. Charly loved the Lord first, his wife, and his four children and granddaughter. He was a loving and faithful husband, father, and grandfather.

Charly is survived by his wife of 40 years, Laura Walton; his children, Jeremy Walton (Kim), Amanda Deason (Michael), Allison Walton, and Samuel Walton; his granddaughter, Emma Grace Deason; his sister, Penny Tenoschok (Mike); a sister-in-law, Josie Timms; and many nieces and nephews

Charly was preceded in death by his mother, Penny Guthrie; and his brother, John Timms.

The Celebration of Life Service for Charly will be 3:00 pm Sunday, January 23, 2022 , at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home officiated by Mr. Steve Farnie. Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.
