HEATH SPRINGS, SC ::::::::::: Mrs. Charlotte Mungo Carnes, age 68, of 1859 Line Road, died Monday, March 8, 2010 at her home. She was born November 30, 1941 in Lancaster County, the daughter of the late George Thomas Mungo and Mary Elizabeth Blackmon Mungo and was the wife of John Clyde Carnes. Mrs. Carnes was the co-owner of Carolina Fabrication and Welding and a very active member of Bethlehem Baptist Church where she served on several committees.Mrs. Carnes is survived by her husband, John Clyde Carnes of the home, 2 sons, John Clark Carnes and Jeffrey Chanenn Carnes both of Lancaster, a daughter, Crystal C. Sullivan of Kershaw, 3 brothers, Amos Mungo and wife Fae of Poquoson, VA, Elmer Mungo and wife Pauline of Lake Placid, FL, and George B. Mungo and wife Doris of Lancaster, a sister, Mae Faile and husband Harold of Heath Springs, and sister-in-law; Gennie Lynn Mungo of Lancaster.Mrs. Carnes was preceded in death by a brother, Dwight Mungo.The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Carnes will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, March 11, 2010 at Bethlehem Baptist Church by Rev. Reggie Hopkins and Rev. Don Coppedge with burial to follow in the church cemetery.The Family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Wednesday evening, March 10, 2010 at Hartley Funeral Home and suggest memorial contributions to Bethlehem Baptist Church, Capital Improvement Fund, 1841 N.
