LANCASTER, SC ~ Mr. Charlie Robert Bailey, Jr., age 84, passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at Lancaster Health and Rehab.  He was born June 17, 1936, the son of the late Charlie Robert Bailey, Sr. and Eula Mae Duncan Bailey and was the husband of the late Isabella "Belle" Harper Bailey for over 60 years.  He was very civic minded and involved in the community, served on various boards including Rotary and Economic Development.    Mr. Bailey was an avid supporter of Charleston Southern University.  He was a member of Liberty Hill Presbyterian Church.

Mr. Bailey is survived by two daughters, Jan Paul (John) and Barbie Outlaw (Robbie); four grandchildren, Megan Rao Paul, Lizzie Outlaw, Bella Paul, and Harrison Outlaw; and special friends, Jerry Williams and Jimmy and Lynne Jones.

Mr. Bailey was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Lydia Tweed.

The Celebration of Life Graveside Service for Mr. Bailey will be private.  Register book is available to sign at Burgess Funeral Home between the hours of 10:00 am – 3:00 pm, Wednesday July 22, 2020 and Thursday July 23, 2020.
