LANCASTER, SC::::::::: Mr. Charles Reginald "Reggie" McCorkle, age 67, died Saturday, January 14, 2012 at his home. He was born August 23, 1944 in Lancaster County, the son of the late Melvin McCorkle and Margaret Rhyner McCorkle was the husband of Betty English McCorkle. Mr. McCorkle retired from General Tire and was a member of Covenant Baptist Church. Mr. McCorkle is survived by his wife, Betty English McCorkle of the home, a daughter, Regina Helms and her husband Tony, a son, Todd McCorkle and his wife Paula, a step-son, James Baker and his wife Amy, 2 step-daughters, Linda Baker and Faye Schaeffer all of Lancaster, a sister, Gail Price of Gastonia, and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mr. McCorkle was preceded in death by a son, James "Jimmy" McCorkle, a step-son, Donnie Snipes, a step-daughter, Sandra Benton, and a sister, Maxey Rhyner. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. McCorkle will be 11:00 am, Monday, January 16, 2012 by The Chapel of Hartley Funeral Home by Rev. Mitch Ingram and Rev. Dr. Bert Welch. Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park. The Family of Mr. McCorkle will receive friends from 10:00 - 11:00 am, Monday, January 16, 2012 at Hartley Funeral Home and suggests memorial contributions to Covenant Baptist Church, PO Box 578, Lancaster, SC 29721.
