LANCASTER, SC ~Mr. Charles William Knight, age 72, passed away Monday, May 14, 2018 at Carolinas Medical Center. He was born March 20, 1946 in Lancaster, a son of the late Woodrow Knight and Virda Blackmon Knight. Mr. Knight enjoyed drag racing. He loved his grandchildren dearly. Mr. Knight was a member of Pleasant Plains Baptist Church.

Mr. Knight is survived by his wife of 42 years, Sharlene Knight; two sons, William Jeffrey Knight (April) and Jason Paul Knight (Jaime); six grandchildren, Nickie Linton (Mitch), Alex Knight, Mitch Knight (Grace), Brad Knight (Jesse), Jackson Knight and Benjamin Knight; seven great grandchildren, Stacey Knight, Branden Linton, Jayden Knight, Katelyn Knight, Madison Linton, Evan Reynolds, and Emma Grace Knight; a brother, Gerald Knight (Joyce); and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Knight was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Richie Alexander Knight; two brothers, Wade Knight and Ronnie Knight; and a sister, Peggy Freeman.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. Knight will be 3:00 pm Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at Pleasant Plains Baptist Church by Rev. Todd Montgomery.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 3:00 pm, one-hour prior, Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at the church, 3795 Pleasant Plains Road, Kershaw, SC and other times at the home of Charles and Sharlene.
