LANCASTER, SC :::::::::: Mr. Charles Davidson Keith, III, age 64, 4736 Stacks Road, died Friday, January 22, 2010 at his home. He was born October 28, 1945 in Charlotte, NC, the son of the late Charles Davidson Keith, Jr. and Betsy Moser Keith and was the husband of Linda Goodman Keith. Mr. Keith was a retired Truck Driver, a ASA Umpire, and a partner with his father and grandfather of Keith's Garage and Wrecker Service for over 50 years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother who loved children, his country and his cats. Mr. Keith was also a Shriner, a volunteer umpire for the Special Olympics and of the Methodist Faith. Mr. Keith is survived by his wife of 27 years, Linda Goodman Keith of the home, 3 sons, Brian Moore and his wife Toni of Gastonia, Mark Hinson and his wife Marjorie of Charlotte, and Charles D. Keith, IV and his wife Nita of Concord, a daughter Rebecca Keith and her fianc Merit Moll of the home, 2 brothers, Maurice Keith and his wife Ann and David Keith both of Charlotte, his twin sister, Sandra Anderson of Gastonia, 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. Keith will be 11:00 am Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at The Chapel of Hartley Funeral Home with burial to follow at Forest Lawn West Cemetery in Charlotte, NC. The Family of Mr. Keith will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Monday, January 25, 2010 at Hartley Funeral Home and request memorial contributions be made to Shriner's Hospital for Children, 950 West Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605 or American Diabetes Association, 222 South Church Street, Suite 336M, Charlotte NC 28202.
