LANCASTER, SC – Mr. Charles William Horton, age 83, passed away Tuesday, October 8, 2024. He was born November 3, 1940, in Lancaster, a son of the late Hazel Horton and Sarah Griffin Horton and was the husband of Patricia Vincent Horton. Mr. Horton was a retired construction worker.  He served his country in the US Army.  He loved classic cars and spending time with his family.

Mr. Horton is survived by his wife of 53 years, Patricia Horton; two sons, Chris Horton and his wife, Lisa and Robert Horton; a daughter, Kathy Horton; a granddaughter, Sky Eddings and her husband, Patrick; a great granddaughter, Elena Eddings; a niece, Kricket Arbaugh; and a sister, Mary Gardner of Aiken, SC.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Cecil Horton; and two sisters, Ruth Myers and Kathryn Robinson.

The Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Horton will be 3:00 pm Monday, October 14, 2024, at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home officiated by Pastor Carl Williams. Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.
