LANCASTER, SC ~ Mr. Charles Brevard Culp, age 81, passed away at White Oak Manor on Monday, January 27, 2020.  He was born January 15, 1939 in Lancaster, SC the son of the late Charles Brevard Culp and Ollie Mae Morgan Culp Harris.  He served in the United States Army.  Mr. Culp received his bachelor's degree from Furman University and was the Production Engineer for Springs Industries.  He loved warm weather, flowers, especially azaleas, and singing. Mr. Culp sang in the church choir for many years, the Furman choir, and in the nursing home as well.  At the nursing home, he enjoyed staying active and walked the halls every day. Mr. Culp was a member of Springdell Baptist Church and very strong in his faith.

Mr. Culp is survived by a brother, David Ben Culp (Barbara); four sisters, Alice Shaver, Mary Carter, Von Harris, all of Lancaster, and Eloise Turner of Blacksburg, VA; and an extended family.

Mr. Culp was preceded in death by his wife, Aline Hinson Culp; his parents; and two sisters, Ollie Mae Nunn and Martha Johnson.

The Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Culp will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, January 31, 2020 at Springdell Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Donald Tillman.  Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.
